Do you offer a free no obligation quote?

We offer free no obligation quotes to all clients within a 50km radius of Perth. If we have to travel further then we can often quote from photos or we usually ask for $100 fee which is deducted from the overall bill if you decide to go ahead. Please send me a text with your details, including address and email address and if possible some photos of the work you want done. I will then organise a convenient time with you to come and take a look and then send you a detailed written quote via email.

What type of work do you offer?

West deck timber restoration offers a range of timber restoration services, including floor sanding, timber floor staining, deck repair & deck restoration, carpentry services.

What areas do you service?

We work all over Perth but have also done jobs outside of Perth, some as far north as Monkey Mia!

Is there much dust?

We endeavour to keep your home as clean as possible during the work by using state of the art machines which have good vacuum systems installed, effectively minimising dust in your home.

How much does it cost?

On average, you might expect to pay around AUD $20 to $60 per square meter for floor sanding. For deck restoration our rates start from $20 per m2 up to $50 per m2, This cost typically covers sanding, and re-coating the floors or deck. Timber floor staining usually cost around $80 per m2

How long will it take to sand our floors?

As most coating systems require overnight dry times the usual job will be a minimum of two/ three days. This time frame may be extended depending on the size of the job. As an estimate, we are able to sand on average 50 square meters / day. Remember to add the time for the coats to be applied and to dry after that.

Will there be fumes from the coating?

All coatings will produce some odour during drying. Waterborne finishes are non-toxic and environmentally friendly, the good news is we only use the state of the art German water based coatings . All other finishes will generally require you to vacate the building during works. However, as every job is different, we will provide advice to you concerning your house layout or coatings used to ensure they meet your requirements.

Do we get the walls painted first or the floors sanded?

We get asked this a lot, we understand you are organising tradies during your renovations. Generally we recommend you get the painting completed first, our equipment is new, well maintained and we have the skills required to take the utmost care not to mark or damage walls, skirting boards, cabinetry etc.

How often should my deck be sanded ?

We usually recommend a deck is sanded every 10 to 15 years, each job is different and some decks are more exposed to the harsh Western Australia climate than others.

Do you offer a deck maintenance service?

We sure do! We offer yearly or 18 month maintenance service for all our clients. If you would like this service please let us know when we complete the job at your property and we can book. you in for the following year.
